THE JERICHO ROAD-Mrs. M. E. Bliss Wilson

The Jericho Road
}
By the Jericho road Bartimeus had sat,
A beggar, for many a day;
But he hears from the throng, as they're passing
along,
That Jesus is coming that way.
Chorus He's coming today,
He's coming this way;
Oh, sinner, believe and be saved!
He's coming today,
He's coming this way;
Oh, sinner, believe and be saved!

By the Jericho road Bartimeus had heard
Of cures that the Savior had wrought;
"Will He hear if I cry?" was the thought in his h
eart;
"Will He heal if by one He's besought?"

By the Jericho road Bartimeus cried out,
And oh, to his joy and surprise!
He looked on the beauty and splendor of day,
For Jesus had open'd his eyes.

By the Jericho road Bartimeus had faith;
The gift that he prayed for, it gave;
So the sin-burdened soul can today be made whole,

For Jesus is waiting to save.
