How did the refurbishment go during 2022? Watch this refurbishment review that was shown during the watch night service!
The initial aim was for the contractors to complete the project by the end of November. However, the builders uncovered obstacles that needed attention. Things such as asbestos, out of date electrical installations and rising ground water all add time and expense to the project. We cannot put these to one side or leave them for later. If we do they will cost the church much more to rectify at a later date. Worse, inspectors may not allow us to re-occupy the building.
Yet, as you can see from the refurbishment review, the contractors have made great progress. The builders extended the structure of the building to make room for a better stage. Engineers installed a new ventilation system involving Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery units (for those in the know!)Â Electricians have completely renewed the archaic electrical systems. We have installed new networking and wireless throughout the building. Finally, decorators have been moving through the building to make it look fresh and new in all areas.
We are looking forward to returning in person to the ANC shortly. We hope you are too! In the meantime, keep up to date by searching for “refurbishment” on the website. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to ensure you do not miss a service. Finally, do get in touch if you want more information.
