Conviction at the Place of Prayer

Prayer is a conversation in which the Lord speaks back. Sometimes these responses bring conviction, and sometimes it is a conviction of sin. Because the Lord wants us to deal with sin, he speaks to us. Examples given are Moses in the matter of collecting Manna on the Sabbath and Joshua in the case of AI.

This subject is the essence of revival! In the Welsh Revival in 1904 – Evan Roberts declared, “I have a word for you from God.” Then, he gave them four points, which became the basis of revival: 1. You must confess any known sin to God and put any wrong done to man right; 2. You must put away any doubtful habit; 3. You must obey the Spirit promptly; 4. You must confess your faith in Christ publicly. This was known as the bending!

Hymn: Do No Sinful Action

Prayer

He touched me, oh, He touched me
And oh, the joy that floods my soul
Something happened, and now I know
He touched me, and made me whole

Hymn: We have come to be touched by the Lord. Ask that the Lord should touch our brother and sister into God’s hand so that the Lord will speak into the situation and touch them. Also, ask on behalf of our children. Ask God to touch their hearts, soften them and remove every hardness. Finally, we pray for the project to refurbish our home, the All Nations’ Centre.
