2023 Charity Football Match

The Apostolic Churches in London – Celebrating God’s Goodness: The 2023 Charity Football Match gathers together the presbytery of all the Apostolic Churches in London to play against the world! Join us in creating a dream team of Assembly members to show them what football skills are all about! Also, this would be a great time to get to know one another, whether you intend to play or support.

Sign up to be a part of the mixed men and ladies’ team that challenges the presbytery for football dominance. We expect great things, especially as many Pastors, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses are enthusiastic about their armchair skills. Turn up and show them who really has the skills to score!

We will be playing an 11-aside, 90-minute match. Kickoff is expected to be around 1.15 pm, so your prompt arrival would be greatly appreciated. We will be providing fluids and energy-rich fruits.

The teams will feature many substitutes. Consequently, we do not expect players to play the full 90 minutes. Also, we need supporters for both sides. After all, what is a match without chanting and praying on the sidelines? Turn up and play, or turn up to support and spur your favourite players on. We will be holding the match on the football pitch of the Halley Academy in Blackheath. Parking will be available.
