Ghana Medical Trip 2024

In rural Ghana there are many issues that people face:

  • Malaria: A major health issue, especially for babies, pregnant women, and children. Onsite testing and treatment are crucial.
  • Skin Infections: Common among children due to poor hygiene and practices. Requires antibiotics, dressings, and hygiene education.
  • Hypertension: A silent killer needing chronic disease management and medications like nifedipine or amlodipine.
  • Women’s Health: Issues include vaginal discharge, STIs, and teenage pregnancies1. Breast cancer awareness and contraception are also important.

Each year, more equipment, medicine and personnel are needed. Please consider what you might be able to give, or if you have desperately needed medical skills.

This year, the Ghana Medical Mission was held from 3rd-13th October as a collaboration between TAC UK , Ascension Trust, and TAC Ghana . Gospel meetings were live-streamed through TACTV. Praise the Lord!
