A new spiritual movement is taking root in the heart of Kertváros, a suburb of Pécs, Hungary. Mission Pécs, led by Pastor Nigel and his dedicated team, is making strides in establishing a vibrant community of faith where previous attempts have faltered.
Last Sunday marked a significant step forward for the mission, with a children’s club and worship meeting drawing in new faces and volunteers. The burgeoning leadership team is also taking shape, with two affirmative responses and anticipation building around the potential involvement of Peter and Dorina.
The mission’s momentum is local and part of a broader regional initiative. Pastor Nigel’s participation in the recent ReACh Central and Eastern Europe meeting in Walsall further solidified the mission’s direction. The gathering was a time of productive discussions and divine inspiration, with scriptural passages from Ephesians 6:12 and 2 Corinthians 10:4 resonating deeply with the work in Pécs.
Kertváros

Kertváros, home to 50,000 residents, has long been without an evangelical, charismatic, or Pentecostal church presence. Mission Pécs aims to fill this spiritual void, recognizing the critical need for a church in the area.
Looking ahead, March will be a pivotal month for the mission. Pastor Nigel, alongside Marcus Abbott, plans to visit Pécs. They will dedicate a day to fasting and prayer walking through Kertváros, seeking guidance and blessings for the community. The exact date remains to be set. However, the early announcement serves as a call to action for supporters and the congregation at ANC.
Mission Pécs continues to grow and touch lives. The team extends their blessings to all involved in this divine endeavour.
