Pastor Bennett Birkett from the Apostolic Church, Walthamstow and the Love Mission Team arrived in Kenya on 22nd November, 2024. They ministered in Kibera on the same day and the following day. Then they travelled to Kivaa in the Machakos region, arrived in Mombasa on 26th where they were joined by a party of seven from the UK and two Kenyans. In Mombasa, they attended the Girlwise conference.
Girlwise is an initiative to empower young ladies to be wise in their choices and to improve their self esteem. The girls face many challenges, abuse, food and education deprivation and sanitary necessities.​
Pastor Birkett and team were later joined by a party of two from Uganda and the numbers kept increasing to around 20. They travelled to Kisumu with some of the UK team for further ministry. The team testified of experiencing the favour of God in their journeys.​
