  • Pray for the grace to keep our spiritual edge sharpened and to be vigilant
  • Ask God for wisdom
  • Let us thank God for answered prayers
  • Commit the rest of this meeting into God’s hands

What have you come here to do? Why are you here this morning?

“I want to worship the Lord with all my heart”

Is there a verse of a song that will bless us – speak, do not sing it.

  • To be in limbo? In a vacuum?
  •  “Thus saith the Lord”-some do not know where to go, which way to turn – pray for those looking for direction. Short and powerful prayer.
  • Pray you will be used to speak kind and powerful words to those in need. Speak a word of comfort

O let me hear Thee speaking in accents clear and still, above the storms of passion, the murmurs of self-will; O speak to reassure me, to hasten or control! O speak, and make me listen, Thou Guardian of my soul!

Though with a scornful wonder Men see her sore oppressed, By schisms rent asunder, By heresies distressed, Yet saints their watch are keeping; Their cry goes up, “How long?” And soon the night of weeping Shall be the morn of song.

Beware of the Trap

For we are not unaware/ignorant of his devices: 2 Corinthians 2:11

Why is a trap called a trap? Nagging: psychological isolation. Delilah annoyed, harassed, and irritated Samson.

Pray: think of the future of your assembly, we will wake up. Ask Him to lead us. “Men secretly crept in, “Whilst men slept, the enemy sowed tares”

Be more resolved

In heav’nly love abiding, no change my heart shall fear; and safe is such confiding, for nothing changes here. The storm may roar without me, my heart may low be laid, but God is round about me, and can I be dismayed?

Next week

Pastor George Mfon Udoh will speak next week for 5 minutes on “Who’s Will did you perform?”

Homework

Reflect on how you’ve grown over the past week and come prepared to discuss it.

Which senses or faculties can we use to understand or detect devices? For example, our ears, our eyes…

A charge to keep I have — pray based on the verses of the hymn.
