Motivation for Service – Saturday Morning Prayer

What is your kind of prayer meeting? Join us every Saturday morning for a refreshing time of prayer, faith-building, and fresh spiritual fire.

The meeting runs from 8 am to 10 am. You can find Zoom details on this page.

Remember to join the War Room Prayer and the Youth War Room Prayer.

Theme

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord” (Psalm 19:14). My motivation for service arises from my understanding of what the Spirit of God is revealing to me…

Prayer

  • Thank God for His mercies, His grace and power towards us.
  • Ask the Lord to remove every unclean thing that offends the Spirit of God.

Chorus: Ancient of Days

  • Worship the Lord and take time to thank Him.
Pray for Great Britain

based on 2 Chronicles 7:14

  1. Let there be widespread convictions by the Holy Spirit regarding sins and repentance that result in salvation.
  2. Lord, visit this land once more with salvation.
  3. Come against the spirit of unrest, panic, distress, and anxiety that fosters hatred.
  4. Pray for the ministers who govern this land, that the Holy Spirit will guide them and take control.
Pray for the body of Christ
  1. Ask for the protection of the Body of Christ. Pray for the purpose of individuals and the church to be revealed by the Spirit.
  2. There will be unity
  3. An outpouring of the Holy Spirit to blow over every denomination
  4. Intercede for the safety and protection of all your activities in your assemblies. We rebuke the plan of the enemy.
Pray for yourself and your family
  1. The Lord would protect you and guide you.
  2. Order our steps
  3. No weapon formed against us shall prosper.

Hold up the sick to the Lord – that God should bring healing and comfort.

Commit the rest of the year into God’s hand and prayer the covering of blood of Jesus for those who have travelled.

Motivation for Service

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight!”

Why would someone pray that prayer?

Can you think of anyone who prayed a prayer that it was not acceptable to God? Luke 18, e.g. Balaam

It takes a lot of effort to pray! (True or false?)

The devil knows what happens when we pray. He tries to stop us.

Lift your voice to God: Help us as we come to pray.

What is your motivation for service? Philippians 1:15

Why did Jesus say He came to Earth? Turn these points into prayer

  • I have come to call sinners.
  • I have come to give them life and life to the full (abundant life)
  • For the Son of man came to seek and save what was lost
  • He came that He might take away our sins
  • He came to destroy the works of the devil
  • “I must be about my Father’s work.”

He came to teach us—to be an example!

Pray for workers for the harvest – pray for the power to cast out.

May you speak life into situations

Pray that You will cleanse my mouth so that only what is good will come out of me. May I bring life! May my words give life to all who hear us.

Pray that God will give us life on this platform, in our lives

Pray for love and hope as the Christmas season approaches, especially for those travelling. All fears and depressions should go.

Learning to listen to the Spirit of God

Why do we need discernment?

We need to know who is speaking. There are many voices. https://hymnary.org/text/o_jesus_i_have_promised
