The Joy of Praying Together – Saturday Morning Prayer

Do you recognise it is a privilege that we are before the King of Kings, creator of heaven and earth? To be in His presence this morning is a privilege!

Chorus: Give God the Praise, He’s worthy to be praised.

Prayer Points

  • Thank God for His love towards you. As a people, as a church and as a person – thank God for His love towards us.
  • As we gather to pray, the blood shed for us would speak for, cover and protect us.

Question: “What is the difference between being touched by Jesus and you touching Jesus?”

Chorus: When I feel the touch

  • Pray that God will touch those who are sick
  • There are times in our lives when nothing seems to be shifting or changing. Ask the Lord to step into that situation.

Song: Pass me not, o gentle Saviour

  • Lord, this morning, do not pass me by, stop by this morning and turn situations around
  • Lord, as we gather tomorrow for our church service, touch lives and bring healing

Have you taken a moment to thank God? When I remember His goodness…

Reflecting on the Saturday prayer meeting, “we stop, we reflect, and we do give thanks.” Thank God for the people He has placed in your life.

The Joy of Praying Together

Listen as Bro Deji Adesina shares a message on the joy of praying together.

Key bible verses: Matthew 18:19-20, Acts 1:14, Acts 4:31, 2 Chron 7:14, Ps 133:1, Acts 2:46-47

Prayer points based on the sermon
  1. Lord, remove anything that blocks unity. Lord, help my spirit to unite with my brethren. We will not allow anger in our hearts.
  2. As we gather, we will experience His tangible will, making it real to us. We will encounter it and grow in Christ.
  • Prayer for our sisters facing medical challenges and illness: may the Lord touch them where they are.
  • Prayers: Lord, go from home to home and impart to us spiritual gifts.
  • Lord, lead us to a place where we encounter You.
  • Lord, reveal Your face to us during our prayer meeting.

Question: Did you dedicate time for reflection before God this week?

  • “The quality of the firewood determines the strength and intensity of the fire” (combustible, incendiary, conflagration)
  • Wet wood may not burn, but if you put it next to the fire, it dries and catches the fire.
  • Seasoned wood burns stronger/brighter/cleaner.
  • Let’s revive our prayer life and dedication to holy living.

Song: Faithful One, so unchanging

Thank God in your prayer language. ‘Hail Him who saved you by His grace’

Prayer for Evangelist Roy Silver, who is currently incarcerated in Sri Lanka. Let’s pray for his safe return.
