How we are understanding prayer affects our prayer life. Come and exalt the greatness of our God! Come ready, willing and able, and join us as we seek to understand the leading of our God and King and respond to the mercy bought for us at the Cross.
The meeting runs from 8 am to 10 am. You can find Zoom details on this page.
Remember to join the War Room Prayer and the Youth War Room Prayer.
Prayer
Lift up your voices to praise the Lord and lift up His Name.
Chorus: I will bless the Lord
Worship and bless the Lord. Thank Him for every person in your family, in the church.
Pray for those who are struggling, who feel weak and need support. Lift them up in prayer.
Understanding Prayer
Watch and Pray – Discuss! What is it that makes us dull and sleep and not pray?
What we see, what we hear, informs our prayer.
How de we fight against getting physically tired? We must consider our priorities. What are we giving our strength to?
In prayer, we come into God’s presence. When Moses did this, his face shone. What do you bring back with you from the presence of the Lord.
Consider this prayer, to pray it:
Lord Jesus Christ, please make me a person with insight, deep contemplation who understands and perceives what goes on round about him. Please grant me deep spiritual understanding, to know what you have freely give me. “I have made you the father of many nations,” you said to one. Please help me to know the things, people and gifts you have allocated to me. I want to serve the present age and to fulfil my calling. I want to be a good and responsible person who does not fail in his/her endeavours. I want to rise in thought and contemplation, always communing with God the Holy Spirit. I do not want to be a day dreamer who is always chasing shadows. Please help me to be useful, both now and forever more. Amen.
