Prayer
Thank the Lord, for by His Grace, we woke up and joined with the saints in prayer this morning.
Our God has opened doors for us. Therefore, we give thanks for new jobs, opportunities and other ways that the Lord has increased us.
Prayer for more grace to walk taller in Christ. We need to rise and reach higher heights in the Lord, for our God has called us not to stagnate but to increase.
We are instructed to pray for our leaders. Pray that the doors of heaven will open for them as they seek favour from authorities.
Violence has claimed young people on the streets. Therefore, we should pray against the rising spirits that promote violence. Pray for God’s infinite comfort for those families that have lost loved ones.
Lift the remainder of the year into God’s hands. We should know His safety and success in all that we do.
What is Your Response to Grace
Bro Anthony spoke on the question of our response to Grace, providing examples from the Bible.
Hymn: Nearer, my God to Thee.
A discussion ensued about how we respond to grace. (Consider Matthew 18:23-35.) Certainly, we must learn to forgive and dispense grace as much as we have received it. Stop and consider, “Have I hurt someone recklessly?” Grace is the ability to admit that we have done wrong, to ask for forgiveness and to do something about it. Grace empowers us.
Homework
Write something on, “Being a vehicle or a conduit of Grace!”
Perhaps you might have experienced grace through someone, or you have been a carrier of grace.
