Who Needs Rest? – Saturday Prayer

Join us every Saturday as we come together in prayer and worship. It’s a time to seek God’s presence, lift up our needs, and encourage one another in faith. The meeting runs from 8 am to 10 am. You can find Zoom details on this page.

Remember to join the last War Room Prayer for the year.

Prayer

  • Give thanks to the Lord for keeping you throughout the year up until this month of December
  • Ask the Lord to cover you as you pray

Chorus: Ancient of Day, as old as You are

  • Thank the Lord without making any requests

  1. Pray that you will know the God who goes before you into battle
  2. Pray for the church, that whatever scheme the enemy has for it, that He will go ahead and dismantle ideas
  3. Soak yourself and your family in prayer – that they may be marked by the blood of Jesus – that God may fight for and defend you all
  4. Pray for those who are sick, that the Lord would fight physical battles and bring healing
  5. Thank the Lord for answered prayer by faith
Songs
  1. Let all the people praise Thee. Let all the people praise Thee. Let all the people praise Thy name forever and forevermore
  2. I have seen the Lord’s goodness. His mercies and compassion. I have seen the Lord’s goodness. Hallelujah praise the Lord
  3. Hymn Lord our help in ages past

Let us give thanks!

There are accolades, descriptions, or expressions of God (e.g., ‘O thou who hast never lost a battle’). Say yours out loud.

He who meets all needs, our battle axe, the one who fights all my battles. He is merciful, God our healer, God our defender, God our life-giver. God is great—He who has never let go of my hand. Who protects us, the I am that I am. God, our present help in times of trouble. God, our increase; our all-sufficient God. The first and the last, our hiding place, our shelter.

The Captain of my Destiny. The Champion of the Host Above.

Make declarations on these two statements.

  • As we reflect on the past, take a moment to thank God for bringing us through these circumstances.

Who Needs Rest?

Mark 6:30-32 30: Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. 31 And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. 32 So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves.

Would Christ come to you and ask you to rest?

· Only those who work need to rest.

· Rest is the tonic for the strong

Psalm 127:2-It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep

Lord, help me to know where I am

Ask the Lord to speak to you. A few people to pray one after the other.
