Be Ready When the Tough Times Come

We met for the first of seven events planned by the ANC Men’s Leadership for 2022. The theme for this year is “Living as Overcomers!” 29 men from across the London Area Churches joined us on Zoom.

After opening the meeting in prayer, John Farodoye, as convenor, led the attendees to declare the covering of the “Blood of Jesus” over themselves, their family and the night’s proceedings. As prayer warriors engaging in Spiritual Warfare, Elder reminded us that it is essential always to put on the whole armour of God’s protection.

Bro Timothy Omisanya led us in Praise and Worship before the main course of Prayers started.

Ps Sam Sampah did a great job fleshing out the topic of “Be Ready When the Tough Times Come” – He gave up sections of prayers for the Men to pray on the night. The men received will his short, encouraging and well-received sermon.

Prayer Topics

  • The Work of the ANC/TURNING Initiative – to win and keep new converts to Christ
  • Peace in the Ukraine/Russian War (and all other conflicts raging in the World)
  • Financial Breakthrough & Employment
  • The Sick and against Physical Ailments
  • More love in the Church and our Families
  • Guidance, provision and protection for all our Children (those already in university; those going this year; and those who have finished and looking to start their careers)
  • God’s help to our Children who are of marriage age, to find the ‘right’ partners
  • The Fire of God to cleanse the pulpit (of any falsehood and hypocrisy)

Those who led the prayer topics were drawn from among the body of men in the Church – not just the ANC Men’s leadership team. Thank you to all those who accepted and led the prayer segments. As an ongoing practice of encouraging and building up Brothers in the various ministries, we will continue to look for opportunities to assign roles and activities in the programs planned for this year to other men across the London Area Churches.

All men were invited to a social Friday Guys Night Out planned for 25th March 2022. It will be an excellent opportunity for the men to get to know each other socially. Don’t miss this event. Please put it in your diary now!
