Theme: The Strong Christian – On this Father’s Day, Pastor David Dando speaks on the subject of Living as Overcomers. You do not have to go it alone. God will help you.
“Being an overcomer is the ability to impact the world with one’s personality” – society’s definition.
It is possible to live as an overcomer according to society, where you must be a winner, be relevant, and rise above others. It may be more appealing or attractive, but what suits or pleases you may not appeal to God. God’s principle of overcoming takes the focus off ‘self’ but gives power and strength to those who acknowledge they are weak. God does not rely on the force of your personality to get His work done.
The two approaches to being an overcomer can be in sharp contrast. Your witness depends on this, take care!
Key scripture: Isaiah 40:28-31
28Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29Â He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30Â Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.Isaiah 40:28-31
You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
