Mindset of the Owner – Ownership Matters

Theme: Be Safe. Remind Them of These Things – Today’s question is simple yet deeply searching: Are you serving as an owner or as a hireling? Sadly, some aren’t serving at all.

The owner’s heart declares, “This is my Father’s business. I will stand, even when it costs me.” In contrast, the hireling says, “This isn’t my problem.” While the owner serves out of love, the hireling serves only when it’s convenient. The owner stays faithful through storms; the hireling disappears when things get tough.

God calls us to serve with an ownership mindset, one rooted in love, loyalty, and a personal stake in His Kingdom (Colossians 3:23–24 AMP; 1 Corinthians 4:2). However, we cannot develop this mindset alone. The Holy Spirit transforms our hearts, fills us with divine love, and teaches us to see God’s work as our own.

When the Spirit leads us, we stop serving for recognition and start serving from love. He gives us strength to remain when others walk away, and joy to serve even when no one notices.

In this week’s powerful message, Elder Sam Aiyere unpacks what it means to serve with an ownership mindset. He explains why it matters and offers practical steps to help us cultivate and demonstrate ownership in every area of life.

Let’s serve with purpose. Let’s serve as owners

Remind Them of These Things! Mindset of the Owner

Join Us

We meet in person at the All Nations’ Centre, Tyers Terrace, London SE11 5LY. You are very welcome to join us. All our Sunday Services start at 9.30 am. The doors open at 8.30 am, and the prayer service begins at 9 am. The All Nations’ Centre is where the community meets with God as a congregation. Please help us to make it a welcoming environment for all.

There are many advantages to meeting together. As the writer of the book of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) Do not miss this opportunity to meet and encourage your brothers and sisters! Often, we provide personal ministry and one-to-one encounters. Do not miss the opportunity to meet with God and be transformed.
