Below is a report from Pastor Nigel and TAC Hungary:
Thank you for your faithful financial support for the first two years of Mission Pécs (April 2021 – March 2023). The support of our Partner Churches has fueled the ‘launch fund’ and enabled an emerging Christian group to start to become rooted in Pécs.
The seeds have been planted and watered; now, we look to the Lord for growth. We recognise the new financial challenges within the UK, but we invite you to continue financially supporting Mission Pécs into the new financial year.
Mission Pécs is progressing, and our local team is taking more responsibility. Rachel and I will soon become UK-based, and I will travel to Hungary to support this team. One Church Dover remains as our base and sending church.
Our foundational activities are a monthly worship event and a children’s club. God has given us a new opportunity to make a community garden with local people. We hope to have an Alpha course in May. In August, Rachel will coordinate a three-day children’s summer camp.
Largely due to the generous donations from the UK to the Hungarian Apostolic Church, it is now possible to send a Hungarian apostle to service inside Ukraine. This part-time role is starting and connections inside southwest Ukraine are ripe for a church plant situation. God is re-energising the Apostolic Church in Eastern Europe.
Fuller information about this next season of Mission service will be shared soon – and I will also be at ACMC next week.
Thank you for coming on the journey with us, praying, giving and encouraging this pioneering work in Hungary.
We thank God for your support.
Nigel & Rachel
