Recovering the heart of true Christian Ministry and Service

Recovering the Heart of True Christian Ministry and Worship

Theme: Recovering the heart of true Christian ministry and service – Such service is fading! How do we recover this loss in an age where everything has its price?

It is necessary to address this issue now before this sickness spreads. There have been dark times in Christianity. The person and the service are inextricably linked. You know a tree by its fruit. There was a movement known as the enlightenment in the 17th to 19th centuries. Voltaire encouraged people to turn to their reason! This goes against scripture “Lean not on your own understanding!” It was a dark time.

Ushering the end of this age was one Count Nicolaus Zinzendorf. He encountered a picture: “Eco Home” or Behold the man. This image caused him to undergo a revolutionary change. He began a transformation that influenced many reformers, to whom we are thankful.

Covid has ushered in a dark time for the modern Church. Many now attend church online with cereal in hand. People no longer gather together. We have reduced Christian ministry to yet another online part of life to be chosen among the other entertainment presented to us. Have you lost your first love? Do we not serve God unless it is convenient or unless we get something tangible in return?

Do you belong to the house? What happened to the cost of discipleship? How deep is your love for God? Listen to the encouragement from Pastor Abraham Sackey and relight the fire in your heart!
