Rededication of the All Nations’ Centre

The rededication of the All Nations’ Centre was a joyous occasion for all. This celebration was the culmination of a year of work refurbishing the building.

History

Missionaries established the original church here in the 1960s. Pastor Ian Meldrum and the leadership of the All Nations’ Centre later rebuilt and refurbished it in the mid-1980s to the standards of the time. Fast forward to the 2020 pandemic, and it had been in use for over 30 years and was in dire need of bringing up to date. New regulations required particular works to take place that delayed the project, meaning we could not have our usual Christmas or Watch Night service. Pastor Abraham Sackey’s patience and perseverance were rewarded.

Then and Now

Celebrations

Pastor Les Isaac kicked things off with a short speech. Pastor Ian Meldrum prayed, then Pastor Les cut the ribbon, triggering a procession of banners into the building. Each of the banners representing a ministry of the work of the All Nations’ Centre.

Rededication

A couple of invitees were unable to attend, and instead, sent their greetings by video.

The TACC5 Praise and Worship Team prepared a special feature for the rededication, though there was no time on the night to play it. You can listen to it here.

Pastor Les was the main speaker. He spoke of the need for us to have grow and go now that we have this refurbished building.

A New Era

Many guest pastors joined us for the celebration, taking part and praying over the congregation.

Finally, the site manager cut the celebration cake.

Today was the first page of a new chapter for the All Nations’ Centre. We look forward to many more.

We invite you to write those pages. Contact us if you want to get involved.
