Who inspires you? Take time to consider these prayer mentors from history. Join us as we seek the face of the Lord and walk with those whose example was recorded so that we can do well. The Saturday Morning Prayer meeting is ready to receive like-minded hearts.
The meeting runs from 8 am to 10 am. You can find Zoom details on this page.
Remember to join the War Room Prayer and the Youth War Room Prayer.
Prayer
Chorus: Most Blessed, Most Glorious
Take time to appreciate our Lord and God for who He is: Father, Saviour, covenant-keeping God…
May we know cleansing power, protection and peace this morning.
Do not be distracted. Focus on Jesus. Lift up a prayer of thanks.
Hymn: I Need Thee Every Hour
There are so many needs among those we meet with. Pray that we will all know the Lord is ready to meet with us when we recognise that we need Him.
Pray for tomorrow’s service and the Women’s Conference.
Prayer Mentors from History
Does your prayer fuel your expression of faith? Consider the life of Candida Xu (pronounced Shoo) and Sister Ignacia.
Download the presentation here.
The discussion of these lives prompted us to understand the purpose of prayer. Candida Xu exemplified the idea that prayer fuels our expression of faith. The Spanish convents rejected non-Spanich candidates. Ignacia was Filipino. Her persistence in prayer overcame the difficulties.
Hymn: Don’t Stop Praying
Homework
Take some time to reflect on these lives. Are you able to take time to write a poem to bless?
