We recapped last week’s subject.

Prayer Mentors from History

Consider Ephesians 4:11-16 – this is why we do what we do! Are you being transformed? The Lord wants to do this for you. 2 Corinthians 3:18.

The discussion of these lives prompted us to understand the purpose of prayer. Perpetua represents the courage prayer provides. Kassian used another medium – poetry and song – to express her prayer to God and so obtain God’s mercy. Teresa compared prayer to a Garden in which we work to make it attractive to the Lord. In doing so, we invite the Lord to walk in it. We effectively move from conversation to participation.
