Prayer should hold prime position in the life of every believer. God loves to join His children – born again bible believing Christians – in prayers because prayer is dialogue with Him. Join the Saturday Morning Prayer Meeting for corporate prayer which kindles the prayer flame in you. The meeting runs from 8 am to 10 am. You can find Zoom details on this page.
Our monthly War Room Prayer meetings offer another opportunity for corporate prayer.
Prayer
Chorus: You are God from Beginning to the End
Prayer points
- Ask the Lord for forgiveness for all transgressions, cleanse us with Jesus’ Blood, and cover our family and this gathering with the Blood.
- Lord, refill us, and we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. “The true worshipper of God will worship in spirit and truth.”
- Ask the Lord to cultivate the fruits of the Spirit in your life, suppress the works of the flesh, and help us develop the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:16).
Song: ‘Reign in Me, Sovereign Lord.’ Are we willing to sacrifice of the works of the flesh to achieve our goal in Christ?
Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to help us crucify the work of the flesh in our lives. For without Him we can do nothing. Revelation 3:15-16
Ask the Lord to help you cultivate His garden in your life, so that all these parts of the spiritual fruit will grow unhindered. Ask Him to help you remove all the weeds and stones, to break every stubborn and stony heart, and for the Holy Spirit to fill us once more with grace and power so we can respect each other.
Ask the Lord for divine peace in our homes, families and every area of our lives. In every area where we have experienced loss, there shall be restoration according to God’s promise.
Pray for the sick, for those facing psychological issues and those under spiritual attack.
NDOPW
What are some of the lessons we learnt from the ACUK take-over day on NDOPW?
- There is a need to collaborate and help one another
- It shows what is possible when we choose to work together
The Sovereignty and Fatherhood of God
We thank Elder Charles Quarcoo for preparing and sharing this message.
Discussion and reflection on the sermon:
- Sovereignty – to claim authority over all creation.
- What aspects of God’s sovereignty make you uncomfortable—referencing Psalm 139:7-10?
- How does this feeling influence your daily actions?
- If there was a conflict between the Sovereignty and the Fatherhood of God, which would you choose?
- “My Father is a Sovereign God”
- Pray and thank God for His Fatherhood and sovereignty.
- Pray that we will live our lives in the light of His fatherhood
- “Allow fatherhood to become sovereignty”
- Reveal Yourself to us as Christ the King in all areas of our lives—marriage, homes, and beyond.
- May we have a revelation of Him as King of Kings, our Father and our Lord
- May we see His Sovereignty in our behaviour, lives, family, health…
