David did not forget

David did not Forget

THEME: Ties that Bind – David did not forget Jonathan’s friendship. When ties bind us, they cross generations, therefore they are not transient but transgenerational. In David’s actions, we see the grace and the redemptive face of Jesus. Ref: 2 Samuel 9:1-13

Such ties that bind are:

  • rooted in brotherly love
  • devoid of jealousy, suspicion or fear
  • looks out for each other regardless of opposition
  • warns, advises and protects
  • makes us lament death or other tragedies of life
  • never forgets / always remembers the covenant ties of good
  • a source of trans-generational blessings/kindness

We are encouraged to make these kinds of ties, as they can only make our lives better. The sermon is available via Spotify as a podcast.
