Theme: Recovering the Heart of True Christian Ministry and Service – For the King and Kingdom! Our country is beset by change and upheaval: prime ministers have resigned, and we have King Charles III on the English throne. Yet we have a King of kings who is steadfast and eternal. It is this unchanging King that is calling us to work for His eternal Kingdom! You discover your destiny in His purposes. So how should we serve Him?
There are disturbing trends in the Kingdom. The rise of spectator Christianity – those who do not use their gifts to expand the Kingdom. They leave the pastors, ministers and leaders to wear themselves out. They weaken the Church through their passive attendance. The rise of the spirit of Gehazi is rife. Those with that spirit only work for the church if they are rewarded. The Balaam spirit, where people do all kinds of things for fame, money and power. Yet their actions are anathema to God’s character as believers are deceived and abused.
This is not what God wants for the Church. Key scripture: Hebrews 3:5-6
Listen to Pastor Victor Jibuke answer this conundrum:
Hint: It is the King and His Kingdom that matters most!
