Ownership Matters

Theme: Be Safe. Remind Them of These Things – This October and November our series theme is based on 2nd Peter 1:12-16 & and 2 Timothy 2:14. As preachers and teachers, we sometimes wonder whether our words truly land. Yet, the parable of the Sower reminds us: not every seed takes root immediately. To that end it is both a joy and beneficial to revisit some of the wonderful themes we have covered over the years; to remind ourselves of the eternal truths and in some cases cover ground that was missed at the time.

One such message—Ownership Matters—first preached in 2004 and revisited in 2022, still speaks today. In a world that often promotes a “throw away” mindset, believers must choose a different path. Society may ask, “What’s that got to do with me?” But the Gospel calls us to take responsibility.

Jesus, in John 10:11–14, contrasts the hireling with the owner. The owner stays. The hireling flees. Christ, the Good Shepherd, models true ownership—and calls us to follow.

Listen as Ps Abraham Sackey challenges us to rise up, accept responsibility and stand and be counted.

Join Us

We meet in person at the All Nations’ Centre, Tyers Terrace, London SE11 5LY. You are very welcome to join us. All our Sunday Services start at 9.30 am. The doors open at 8.30 am, and the prayer service begins at 9 am. The All Nations’ Centre is where the community meets with God as a congregation. Please help us to make it a welcoming environment for all.

There are many advantages to meeting together. As the writer of the book of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) Do not miss this opportunity to meet and encourage your brothers and sisters! Often, we provide personal ministry and one-to-one encounters. Do not miss the opportunity to meet with God and be transformed.
