How I Fight My Battles of Service

Theme: Divine Directives and Expectations – Christ calls every believer to serve actively, intentionally, and wholeheartedly. Service isn’t optional; it flows from love and confirms our faith. Because we follow His example, we honour Him through worshipful obedience.

Furthermore, we serve the Body of Christ, not just out of duty, but because we’re designed for connection and contribution. So then, what motivates this call to serve? Why does it matter? And more importantly, why do battles arise when we step forward?

Although service brings joy, it also invites resistance. Yet God doesn’t leave us defenceless. He provides clear directives, spiritual armour, and unwavering promises to help us stand firm. Through these, we fight from a position of victory!

In this stirring message, Elder Sam Aiyere unpacks the reasons behind our call to serve, the rewards that follow, and the strategies to endure. He speaks to the heart of every weary warrior, reminding us that giving up is not the answer.

So, if you feel like throwing in the towel, pause. Listen. Be strengthened. You are on the winning side, and every act of service, no matter how small, matters to God.

How I Fight My Battles of Service

Join Us

We meet in person at the All Nations’ Centre, Tyers Terrace, London SE11 5LY. You are very welcome to join us. All our Sunday Services start at 9.30 am. The doors open at 8.30 am, and the prayer service begins at 9 am. The All Nations’ Centre is where the community meets with God as a congregation. Please help us to make it a welcoming environment for all.

There are many advantages to meeting together. As the writer of the book of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) Do not miss this opportunity to meet and encourage your brothers and sisters! Often, we provide personal ministry and one-to-one encounters. Do not miss the opportunity to meet with God and be transformed.
