Response to Life’s Circumstances

Theme: Let Us Pray –  When you face challenging situations in life, what is your first response? Do you immediately call a friend? Do you slip into despair or depression? James 5:13-15 urges us to choose a different starting point: “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

As we mature on our Christian journey, prayer should be the first response to every situation in life; it doesn’t absolve us of responsibility, it gives us a place to draw strength and wisdom to move forward. We follow our prayer with action. When we pray first we reveal what we truly believe. We show that God exits, that He hears and He answers. Prayer shifts our focus from the situation to the One holds the solution.

Rev Sam Ajibola teaches on the power in prayer and reminds us that through Jesus we have access to a powerful and loving Father and that regardless of what we face we can invite Him into every situation.

If you are looking for opportunities to join in corporate prayer, you can log on to our weekly Saturday Morning Prayer Meeting, which runs from 8–10 am, or join our monthly War Room.

Response to Life’s Circumstances

Join Us

We meet in person at the All Nations’ Centre, Tyers Terrace, London SE11 5LY. You are very welcome to join us. All our Sunday Services start at 9.30 am. The doors open at 8.30 am, and the prayer service begins at 9 am. The All Nations’ Centre is where the community meets with God as a congregation. Please help us to make it a welcoming environment for all.

There are many advantages to meeting together. As the writer of the book of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) Do not miss this opportunity to meet and encourage your brothers and sisters! Often, we provide personal ministry and one-to-one encounters. Do not miss the opportunity to meet with God and be transformed.
