THEME: Stronger and Fitter for the Master’s Use and for His Glory – Do you know the song “Well I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day”? What is your favourite Christmas song? There is much for which we must be thankful, and, most of all, that we have a strong foundation for our faith! Will you ring the bell for Christmas, just as “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”?
The world has a problem with our theology! It is known as the scandal of particularity: That someone in a particular time and a particular place should be significant for all mankind.
“This is a scandal to modern sensibilities ordered by universally accepted values endorsed at the forum of reason.”
However, this doctrine is one of the anchors of our faith: that the Son of God was made flesh and dwelt amongst us! Mary gave birth to Jesus. He lived, died, and God raised Him to life – a fact for which there is no reasonable argument. When you have sound doctrine, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
We are a family who lives because we have heard and believed this doctrine. We have many things to give thanks for.
