Remind Them of These Things – Making Something Good in God Happen

Theme: Be Safe. Remind Them of These Things The final reminder in this series calls us to make something good in God happen. Pastor Edwin Bajomo uses Nehemiah as a case study, and therefore he challenges us to act rather than wait. First, Nehemiah heard about Jerusalem’s broken walls and then he took decisive action; similarly, we must move when we see need.

Moreover, we live among people we can influence; family, school, workplace, neighbourhood, community and church. We cannot turn a blind eye to the needs we see. Consequently, we must ask: will we step up, or will we expect someone else to act? Importantly, Scripture urges us to do good (Proverbs 3:27; Ephesians 2:10), so the onus is on us to respond.

Furthermore, Pastor Edwin reminds us that doing good brings challenges, yet the reward outweighs the cost. Therefore, do not grow weary; instead, persevere and stay the course. Good things do not happen by chance; they happen when God’s people step forward to make them happen.

In addition, we must partner with God, obey His promptings, and take intentional, deliberate steps to transform lives. Likewise, we must seize opportunities, serve with love, and act with courage.

Finally, let us take the initiative now. Together, let us make something good in God happen.

The first step to partnering with God is to accept Jesus as your Saviour. If you would like to become a Christian, now is the time! Click here to learn more.

Making Something Good in God Happen

Join Us

We meet in person at the All Nations’ Centre, Tyers Terrace, London SE11 5LY. You are very welcome to join us. All our Sunday Services start at 9.30 am. The doors open at 8.30 am, and the prayer service begins at 9 am. The All Nations’ Centre is where the community meets with God as a congregation. Please help us to make it a welcoming environment for all.

There are many advantages to meeting together. As the writer of the book of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) Do not miss this opportunity to meet and encourage your brothers and sisters! Often, we provide personal ministry and one-to-one encounters. Do not miss the opportunity to meet with God and be transformed.
