What Christmas Means To Me

Theme: They Shall Call His Name Immanuel Many people misunderstand Christmas. Some focus on business profits, shopping, gifts, tinsel, lights, toys, and celebration. Others think only of Bethlehem, the star in the sky, shepherds in the field, and angels singing. Yet the true message of Christmas goes far deeper.

Christmas heralds the entrance of God into human history. Heaven descended to Earth. The story carries redemptive truth and celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. On that first Christmas night, the angel told fearful shepherds, “Fear not, I bring you good news” (Luke 2). That good news proclaims that God sent His only Son to save humanity from sin.

Therefore, Christmas is not a myth, not a tradition, not a dream. It stands as a glorious reality. This week, Deaconess Pat Adekoya reminds us of God’s plan and purpose for humanity. She shares what Christmas means to her and what it should mean to all believers: faith, hope, and the joy of Immanuel – God with us.

What Christmas Means To Me

Join Us

We meet in person at the All Nations’ Centre, Tyers Terrace, London SE11 5LY. You are very welcome to join us. All our Sunday Services start at 9.30 am. The doors open at 8.30 am, and the prayer service begins at 9 am. The All Nations’ Centre is where the community meets with God as a congregation. Please help us to make it a welcoming environment for all.

There are many advantages to meeting together. As the writer of the book of Hebrews writes, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25) Do not miss this opportunity to meet and encourage your brothers and sisters! Often, we provide personal ministry and one-to-one encounters. Do not miss the opportunity to meet with God and be transformed.
